New Grove GMK3060L-1 drives busy schedule for Mann Crane Hire
- The crane has been delivered to the Isle of Man and has already completed its first tasks.
- Mann Crane Hire selected the GMK3060L-1 for its class-leading compact design which makes it perfect for accessing narrow jobsites.
Lifting and crane services company Mann Crane Hire has acquired a new Grove GMK3060L-1 all-terrain crane, and says the new model already has a packed schedule. It's the first Grove purchase for Mann Crane Hire in 20 years but it’s already proving a popular addition.
“We needed a compact and maneuverable crane that could efficiently travel across the whole island and work in smaller spaces as we work on a lot of tight locations. The GMK3060L-1 offers impressive dimensions and a class-leading boom, so it was exactly what we needed,” said Chris Barnes, managing director at Mann Crane Hire.
The company purchased its new GMK3060L-1 with a complete spec, including the full jib and the optional MAXbase™ outrigger positioning system. The crane is a 60 t capacity, three-axle model with a comfortable cab mounted on a compact 8.67 m carrier. Strong lift capacities are paired with long reach from the 48 m seven-section MEGAFORM® boom.
It's a versatile model that can operate either indoors or outdoors thanks to load charts that start at a 0° boom angle. The vehicle offers class-leading transportation capabilities, allowing it to drive with its full counterweight of 13.5 t on a 16.5 t axle. Alternatively, it can carry up to 7.5 t counterweight while still meeting the 12 t per axle weight limits.
Mann Crane Hire is a local family business that has provided lifting and crane services for 36 years across the Isle of Man, an island situated between England and Ireland.
